On August 27, 2024, the Subsidised Housing Committee approved the average selling prices and sales arrangements for the 2024 flats under the Home Ownership Scheme. This decision also involved setting income and asset limits for White Form applicants, with the goal of simplifying the application process and making home ownership more attainable.

Moreover, the HA announced major developments in public rental housing. The estimated allocation for public rental housing for the 2024-25 period received approval, underscoring the authority”s dedication to effectively managing housing supply. This allocation is vital due to the growing demand for affordable housing options in Hong Kong.

Additionally, on October 31, 2024, the HA disclosed appointments to the Estate Agents Authority

and shared details on the final design and construction contract awarded for Light Public Housing. These actions are part of a larger strategy to improve housing management and broaden housing options for residents.
